Oh gods. I thought I was writing with few adverbs. I just read over what I have of Lucy. I was very, very wrong. Thanks for the reminder.

When you’re writing sometime, keep an eye out for adverbs and try to find a better verb to substitute. For example, instead of, “He walked quickly across the parking lot,” use “He strode” or “He hurried,” etc. Of course, sometimes an adverb IS the right word (or conveys just the right shade of meaning), so don’t beat yourself up about leaving one here or there.
